The Ministry of Education will close some private high schools that for
several years not only have not functioned, but have held lessons in a
fictive way.
The Minister of Education, Lindita Nikolla, declared in front of the media and education commission that there are dozens of students that have diplomas without attending schools.
“67% of the students in state schools have passed, but there has been no inspection in private school for these years. We are determined to change this”, Nikolla declared.
Book authors will review at least 120 school texts this year, because of the high number of mistakes. If they will not be corrected, the Ministry will not accept them.
More than 30% of teachers have not passed the government test, although the threshold has been increased, which aims to bring a higher quality in teaching.
“30% of the students did not pass the tests. The key word remains qualification of a new type, not like the one that has been so far and that had promoted people and advisers of the former Prime Minister”, Nikolla declared.
The Minister of Education declared that the government showed that the “cut off” was being used based on the pace of politics, which had a strategy for employing 90% of the graduates, although they offered no quality and no future.
