Ferdinand Poni, former Deputy Interior Minister when the country was
ruled by the Democratic Party, has been interrogated by the Tirana
Police.
Police sources confirmed for Top Channel that the procedure is related to the power abuse, by not giving any detail if Poni has been taken under custody or if he went voluntarily.
There are no public details about the circumstances in which Poni is involved during the time when he was the second person in charge at the Interior Ministry, in power abuse.
Poni’s investigation is the first case of a high-rank official who has served in the previous government.
Ferdinand Poni, who leads the Right Wing Councilors at the Tirana Municipality, admitted that he was interrogated as the person who is aware of the circumstance, but didn’t give any detail about the case.
