“Feka” investigation. Prosecution waits, Police makes verifications

Since the Albanian Major, Sokol Feka, died piloting a drug helicopter
from Morocco to Spain, on Spanish soil, our authorities are unable to
investigate his connections in the international drug network.

This argument comes from the Press Release of the Prosecution General, which has not started any investigation yet.

They say that the Prosecution is waiting for the materials from the Spanish judiciary, or data that might raise suspicions that other Albanian citizens are involved in this case.

The Military police and the Military Secret Service declared that they are making verifications, such as interrogating the colleagues of the deceased, collecting documents and other actions that will be sent to the Prosecution.

These actions are being taken mostly for analyzing the situation and for understanding how Feka was recruited, being a career military, with 18 years of service in the Armed Forces. The State Police is also making verifications. They have gathered the preliminary data of Feka’s trips abroad.

Feka has left Albania six times during 2014, to Italy, England and Germany. In September only, the major has traveled twice to Italy within 10 days. The other trips were made in June, July, November and December. His last trip to Italy, without permission from the Ministry of Defense, was made on January 20th, 2015, nine days before the helicopter crashed in Malaga, Spain.
