Fatmir Limaj and other defendants found not guilty for corruption

The second person in charge at the Kosovo government, Fatmir Limaj and four collaborators were declared not guilty by the Prishtina Court of First Instance, as regards charges for corruption, organized crime and power abuse.
The process that was concluded this Friday was part of the investigations started in 2010, when Limaj, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunication, was suspected of corruption.
Limaj, who is the leader of the “Initiative” for Kosovo, said that this is a politically motivated case.
Other defendants as well, Limaj’s former bodyguard, his political adviser, and two others were also found not guilty.
