The casket stayed at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet, where Vace performed for hundreds of times during her career.
Prime Minister Edi Rama declared in his speech: “This is a loss for all of use. Everyone who knew her has lost something today. When Vace used to sing, the black and white screen started to shine. Vace left her voice in the black-and-white memory. We lost a magic star. Thank you for existing for each of us, in a time when our existence was frozen and your voice showed the miracle of living in this world”.
The Minister of Culture, Mirela Kumbaro: Tirana cannot be imagined without the wonderful voice of Vace Zela. Our musical history cannot be imagined without her voice. There cannot be a spiritual heritage without Vace”.
Former Presidents, Alfred Moisiu and bamir Topi, famous colleagues such as Luan Zhegu, Osman Mula, Bujar Kapexhiu, Sherif Meidani, Irma Libohova and Zana Shuteriqi, held speeches in which they brought back memories of the time when they used to cooperate with Vace Zela.
Vace’s body will rest at the Sharra cemetery. Her last wish was for her body to pass to Albania through Kosovo. The coffin arrived at the Prishtina Airport at 14:00, from Zurich, Switzerland.
