Today’s Parliamentary session started with one minute of silence for the
Democratic Party Parliament Member, Sokol Olldashi, who died in a car
crash.
Today’s discussion was the draft-law for the factual budget of 2012. The Minister of Finances, Shkelqim Cani, accused Prime Minister Berisha and the former Minister of Finances, Ridvan Bode, of ruining the country’s economy.
“The incapable doctor could not know how to fix it even if he could understand it. He brought the economy to the abyss, and our growth is six times lower than the average. Nothing was made for employment in 8 years, and the debt skyrocketed with more than 73%. This is a scary debt today. How could they fill the budget when there were other violations?”, Cani declared.
Bode: Send evidence to Prosecution
The former Minister of Finances, Ridvan Bode, reacted immediately after the accusations of the current Minister, Shkelqim Cani, asking the letter to send all violations to the Prosecution, if there is evidence.
According to Bode, the new government is trying to throw mud on the previous government by falsifying signatures and documents. He underlined that 2012 is a year that should be reviewed carefully, because as it is true that the Albanian economy had not huge achievements, the European economy was in a real crisis.
“You have thrown mud, falsified numbers and this will take you down in a deep abyss with yourselves. You are terrified by your incapability to manage the economy in difficult times”, Bode declared.
“2012 should be reviewed very carefully, because it has the lowest economic growth in all other European countries”, the former Minister added.
“You want to throw mad and say that we have lied, that the debt is the lowest in history, because we reduced spending and because the incomes dropped. For every violation you can go to the Prosecution”, Bode declared.
