Extreme decrease of Customs and Tax revenues

The Ministry of Finances declares that by august, the two public tax agencies collected 20.2% less taxes from VAT than the same month of one year ago. The figures for the entire trimester (June-Jjuly-Aaugust) have dropped with 12.5% compared to one year ago, or with 40 million USD less.

This is a first record of all times. But the VAT is not the only indicator with such a quick drop. The same thing has happened with the excise and Income Tax, which dropped with 53%.

According to the Ministry of Finances, in first five months of the year taxes and revenues were 3 billion ALL less than the same period of last year, but only three months of the electins, The June-July-August trimester faced a bigger decrease, with 6 billion ALL less than the same trimester of 2012.

Never before have the budget revenues fallen so quickly, and it cannot be explained even with the economic crisis.
