The residents that will be expropriated after the construction of a new
road in Vlore, protested by blocking the city traffic until police
intervened.

The residents insist on receiving the expropriation compensation before their houses are demolished. The Urban authorities have sent their notice for freeing the buildings and some of the residents will have their rents paid for two years. They will be compensated so that they can buy other homes.

The Socialist Movement for Integration MP, Shkelqim Selami, met with the residents by explaining that it will be resolved by the government, because the Municipality has not planned their funds in the budget of 2015.

In this area will be built very soon a road that will connect the Levan-Vlore highway with the Trans-Balkanian road, which will change the entrance of Vlore that has been damaged by a bad infrastructure.
