The National Center for Monitoring and Forecasting Natural Disasters
show that there will be rains on Friday, but fewer than in the past
days. Rivers will not risk getting out of their riverbeds.
“All Albanian rivers are running with a very high flow. From what we can see, no danger is expected I the next three to five days. The northern rivers are also in danger, but this will depend on the temperatures. The temperatures will start dropping, and these flows might vary”, says Klodian Zaimi, expert at IGJEUM.
The Nationa Center for Monitoring and Forecasting Natural Disasters say that Vjosa and Seman are more at risk for floods. Their material, after it was verified by the European Center for Flood Forecast, was sent to the respective institutions.
“The population and the civilian emergency had been warned four days before the floods”, Zaimi declared.
