After the Cham case, the Greek cemeteries, Himara minorities and the War
Law, it seems that Tirana and Athens will have another disagreement,
now regarding fight against crime.
Greek diplomatic sources confirmed for Top Channel that the Ministry of Justice has received a huge case against one of the most notorious criminals, Klement Balili, who is still on the run.
Albanian authorities had often complained of not having enough evidence against Balili to start a trial, but since November 12th they have received a huge case file with 10.000 pages, with drug traffic facts and evidence, but also for murders.
Top Channel’s sources say that the case was brought three weeks ago, translated to Albanian, in order to remove any argument from the Albanian authorities to delay this case to the Prosecution.
Sources from the Ministry of Justice confirmed for Top Channel that the case will be handed over to the Albanian authorities this Wednesday. If this happens, Klement Balili will have to face a new challenge, this time with the Albanian justice.
