The Albanian special prosecution submitted to the presidency of the parliament the request for the arrest/deprivation of freedom and the exercise of search of the apartment of the MP Arben Ahmetaj accused of corruption in the incinerator affair.
The request with the signature of the head of the SPAK prosecution, Altin Dumani, unlike the one for the other accused, namely Alqi Bllako, requests for the procedure to take place in a session with closed doors.
It is known that the president of the assembly Lindita Nikolla passed the request to the council and ordered to meet on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 11 at 4:00 p.m. There are two scenarios for this process of removal of the immunity of the former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj.
Gazment Bardhi, chairman of the parliamentary group of the opposition Democratic Party, submitted to the president of the assembly the request to make available the materials sent by SPAK.
The time when SPAK submitted the request is well-calculated since the last session of the parliament for this legislature, from which the removal of Arben Ahmetaj’s immunity must be voted on, is July 20.
