Kosovo is already a member of many international federations, but this is difficult to be accepted in Belgrade.
The Serbian Ministry of Interior didn’t guarantee safety for the handball match between Serbia and Kosovo U20, which was supposed to be held in Belgrade.
The Serbian Interior Minister said that they were not ready to use the police against protesters who support the same cause as them, and that’s why it was not worth the game.
However, this decision was paid dearly by the team. The European Handball Federation removed Serbia from the competition.
