The market currency has had a strong, sudden change this Friday, as Euro gained terrain at a record-breaking pace.
According to the Bank of Albania, Euro increased with 2.33 ALL in 24 hours. This is the strongest daily growth since 2002, when the currency first entered in circulation.
Since the beginning of this year, Euro marked a strong decrease against ALL, losing 7% of the value within a very short time. But two days ago the Bank of Albania decided to intervene, stopping the further decrease, which, according to the Bank, could have negative consequences for the economy.
