Armando Sadiku’s goal at the 43rd minute was enough for every Albanian
today to enjoy the first victory in an international football
tournament.
This victory puts Albania third in Group A, which gives us chances for qualification.
Romanians were the first to hit the target, but Berisha has stopped the ball without trouble.
Lenjani had a very clear chance, but missed by scooping over.
A few minutes later Memushaj fired a shot from a very difficult position rather than passing, but Sadiku was the one to turn into goal a very good assist from Memushaj, at the 43rd minute.
Romanians pressed harder in the second half, but could not put Albania’s goalkeeper in difficulty.
