EU Embassies in Tirana welcomed the “Amicus Curiae” of the Venice
Commission regarding the constitutionality of the Vetting Law and its
compatibility with international conventions.
“We expect all interested parties to commit to the central role of the Venice Commission and take it in consideration properly”, says the press release.
The official reaction says that most of the Albanian citizens want an independent, professional, impartial and efficient judiciary.
“We encourage political forces and all judicial institutions in Albania to start implementing the justice reform without delays. Progress in this area is essential with the EU integration process”, the declaration concludes.
