The EU Delegation in Albania declared that specific members from
political and media circles are involved in a campaign for
delegitimizing the Vetting process.
The declaration came from the head of the politic department at the EU delegation in Tirana, Sylvian Gambert.
“Vetting is a main condition for opening the EU accession negotiations. The Vetting process will be implemented, no matter who happens to be the Ambassador of Brussels to Tirana. The anti-Vetting campaign aims to stain all factors involved in this judiciary reform”, Gambert declared.
The Director of the Open Society Founadtion for Albania, Andi Dobrushi, said that several media outlets are deforming facts about the reforms, costs and benefits of becoming an EU members.
“The media makes a superficial reporting of the reform, the cost and benefits of the Albanian citizens through the EU integration”, Dobrushi said.
