are the improvements towards EU integration, as a development source,

“It is a pleasure and a privilege for me to reconfirm on behalf of the Polish EU Presidency our support for EU enlargement with Western Balkan countries, including Albania, a support that has been confirmed even before. The Polish EU Presidency will aim to implement the EU enlargement strategy. The candidate countries must show their determination to fulfill the criteria”, declared Tatarzynska.

EU ambassador Sequi declared that he had a very useful meeting with Minister Haxhinasto.

“We support the priority of the Polish Presidency for enlargement, which also includes Albania. We want this process to be quick and to be considered as a national priority”, Sequi declared.

Asked by Top-Channel if Albania will be able to realize the 12 EU priorities during the Polish Presidency, Minister Haxhinasto gave an optimistic answer.

“I believe that Albania has all the possibilities. If they will commit for a political and institutional process, they have all the possibilities for realizing these projects”, Haxhinasto declared.

Earlier the day, Polish and EU ambassadors met the Albanian President, Bamir Topi, who declared that Albania’s goal is to accelerate the process of full integration in the European family, and that he hopes that his country will receive the EU candidate status.

It remains to be seen if Albania will be able to finish its homework during the Polish Presidency, in order to not fail another time this October for receiving the candidate status.
