The European Union is sending a fact-collecting delegation to Kosovo regarding the visa liberalization process, a move that comes after the ratification of the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro.
The delegation’s duty is to collect data and analyze them to determine how Kosovo has fulfilled the criteria for the fight against corruption and organized crime.
The group is led by Simon Mordue, Vice General Director at the Directory for Migration, Internal Matters and Citizenship at the European Commission.
For Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, the government has fulfilled all the criteria required by the EU.
The Integration Minister, Dhurata Hoxha, is on the same line. She says that at the meeting held with EU representatives, she presented Kosovo’s achievements regarding the rule of law and other requests.
The Kosovo officials are convinced that the evaluation which will come out of the technical delegation will be positive. It will be made public next June.
