The President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, and the President of
the European Commission, Jean Claude Juncker, sent a congratulatory
message to Zoran Zaev, the Prime Minister of Macedonia, for creating the
new government.
“The creation of the new government allows us to overcome the political stalemate that has made the country regress for a long time. The years to come allow the new government to work with dedication with a constructive dialogue with the opposition, for our joint purpose that is the EU integration”, the letter says.
Both EU leaders underline that the dedication of Macedonian Authorities for fully implementing the Perzhina Agreement and other urgent reforms, will be determining for the country’s integration success. Juncker and Tusk reconfirm their readiness to support the realization of reforms and projects oriented towards the EU.
