EU is satisfied with the work of the mission for law and order in Kosovo, EULEX.
This declaration was given by Maja Kocijancic, spokesperson for the Chief of EU Foreign Policy, Catherine Ashton.
“EULEX is a EU mission and we are satisfied with their job. EULEX judges have given more than 180 verdicts, 34 of which only in Mitrovica.
On the other hand, EULEX prosecutors have been involved in 1300 cases, most of which are very complicated and connected with the organized crime and corruption”, Kocijancic decalred.
The spokesperson added that EULEX is not to be blamed for some cases, because not everything is in the hands of this mission, but also in the hands of the local authorities.
