The EU Foreign Commission will discuss this Monday the report of
European MP Knut Fleckenstein, for the reform progress in Albania.
Fleckenstein’s report notes that Albania has progressed, but a thorough implementation of the justice reform, the electoral reform and of the decriminalization law would be significant for reinforcing citizens’ trust on their public institutions.
Constructive dialogue and compromise will be determine the success of these reforms during the entire EU accession process.
Brussels appeals Albanian parties to address the OSCE/ODIHR recommendations in their electoral reform, and have the Prosecution cooperate with the Police in order to punish corrupted officials.
