The EU reacted after Ramush Haradinaj was appointed Prime Minister of Kosovo.
“After several weeks of political uncertainties, the creation of new institutions is a very important step. The country is facing serious challenges, including corruption, weak rule of law, unemployment and weak performance at the education system. These obstacles slow down economic development, stable investments and creation of new jobs”, the EU message says.
“The EU wants Kosovo to be successful, and appeals its politicians to focus on matters that are important to the people. It is essential for Kosovo to work for the remaining criteria for the visa liberalization, progress with the demarcation agreement with Montenegro and take important steps against corruption and organized crime”, the EU says adding that they expect Kosovo to play a constructive role in the region and cooperate with Belgrade for the dialogue intermediated by EU.
