Albania has prepared an emergency plan by valuating the existing
capacities and needs in case our country is affected by the refugee
crisis. The Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, adnd the Deputy Minister
of Interior, Elona Gjebrea, were part of the EU ministerial on the
refugee crisis.
The Albanian Minister said that this is a humanitarian and financial crisis, and the Western Balkan countries have stayed loyal to the European values.
The UE ministerial for the refugee crisis was held in Luxemburg, with the invitation of Jean Asselborn, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Matters, Immigration and Asylum in Luxemburg, and Mrs.Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Matters and Security.
By the end of the meeting, the ministers approved the cooperation declaration between Western Balkan, Turkey, Liban and Jordan.
