EU Ambassador, Romana Vlahutin, was present today at a meeting with
mayors, ministers and ambassadors, titled “Local government and
integration”.
The Minister of Local Government, Bledi Cuci, said that Albanian municipalities will have EU standards in a few years, and he valued EU assistance for reaching this goal.
The Minister of Integration, Klajda Gjosha, underlined that the functionality of local governments should never seen isolated from Albania’s EU integration process. She underlined that the connection between the local government with the Integration process is getting stronger, thanks to the administrative territorial reform.
The EU Ambassador, Romana Vlhutin, appealed for an application of the best practices and expressed the EU readiness to improve partnership with local and central governments of Albania.
