Knut Fleckenstein, David McAllister, Ivo Vajgl, Ulrike Lunacek, Charles
Tannock and Kati Piri; the rapporteurs of the European Parliament for
Albania, Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Turkey, asked
Commissioner Johannes Hahn more information about the exact date for the
publishing of the enlargement package.

The document secured by Top Channel reminds that after the postponement, October 21st seems like a possible date, but since Turkey holds the elections on November 9th, this publishing is expected to take place even later.

Vice President Lunacek asked on behalf of the EP rapporteurs for the Commission to give information about the date of the progress report by the end of the week. The argument was that |this would help planning the respective agendas and finalizing the calendar of the European Parliament resolutions for the six Western Balkan countries and Turkey”.

Despite the letter of the European Parliament Members to Commissioner Hahn, and despite the constant interest shown by the media, the Spokesperson of the European Commission, Margaritis Schinas, reiterated that the publishing date will be announced after President Junker decided about the enlargement package of the college of commissioners.
