For the European Commission, the decision of the government to burn the mandate damages the functionality of the democracy in Albania and is seen as very unproductive.
The Spokesperson for the European Commission, Maja Kocijancic, said in a press release that the Parliament is the only place where great discussions are made.
The Commission, according to Kocijancic, expects Albanians to defend the principles and ideas of democracy in the Parliament.
As for the judiciary reform, Kocijancic underlined that the quality of the process is more important than doing it quickly. According to the EC Spokesperson, this means that the Vetting Process has given concrete results and that the Commission will widely focus on the annual enlargement report that will be published this Spring.
