EU Council concerned about Albania

General Secretary of European Council, Thorbjørn Jagland, joined other international partners in appealing Albanian politicians
to exert self-restraint and respect the democratic process, after
recent tensions escalated in Albania.

“I appeal Albanian leaders to find a solution for the actual crisis, fully respecting law and institutions, and to avoid further tensions”, Jagland declared.

“Albanians deserve better”, he added.
