EU appeal: Avoid violence

Based on recent incidents that took place in our country, on the verge
of the June 23rd elections, the delegation of the European Union in
Albania, in cooperation with the heads of European Union missions in
Tirana, released a statement underlining “we are following the electoral
process closely”.

“Among the international and European standards that we are expecting to get implemented, one of the most important is avoiding violence, in order to comply with the citizens’ expectancies and so that the elections can be held in a calm and peaceful environment”, says the press release of the European Union delegation.

The internationals appeal all Albanians to follow this standard and underline that they expect political parties to give harsh instructions to their members and supporters regarding this issue.
