EU and USA ambassadors support “Force of Law” operation: “Arrest ‘big fish'”

The EU and US Ambassadors, Romana Vlahutin and Donald Lu, greeted the operation “Force of law”, presented by the Ministry of Interior.

“Let’s start with actions, no more with words. We expect this aggressive plan of the Albanian government to conclude with the prosecution of several ‘big fish’ in Albania by the first months of the next year. This success must continue with the creation of the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and the National Bureau of Investigation”, Lu declared.

The Ambassador said they like the fact that this action plan admits that the organized crime is a problem in Albania, an a threat for national security, and that there is a connection between these criminal groups with politicians.

“If you deny this, then take a look at the acses of Arben Ndoka, Mark Frroku, Elvis Rroshi and Gentian Mahmutaj. The USA will offer strong support against the organized crime, regardless of their connections with politicians, businessmen, judges and prosecutors”, he said.

The EU Ambassador to Tirana, Roama Vlahutin, also declared that the international community expects concrete results.

“The Albanian citizens are fed up in these decades with the arrogance of corrupted people and their criminal interests. No one should be untouchable or able to buy justice”, the Ambassador declared.
