The EU Ambassador to Albania, Luigi Soreca, said that the Bularat incident should be followed attentively by the Albanian government.
“Although it is an internal matter between both countries, for the EU, the Greece-Albania relations are very important”, Soreca said.
Soreca added from the city of Fier that only the dialogue between the government and opposition can make reforms possible. And this will be important for the decision to open Albania’s EU accession negotiations in 2019, the EU ambassador said.
Soreca praised the work of Fatmir Xhafaj at the Interior Ministry, especially after the recent results, and said that the government must continue the fight against crime.
