About 300 hectares of agricultural land in Sukth of Durrës have been flooded as a result of the rainfall of the last few days in central Albania.
Meanwhile 20 houses are flooded as the water has forced family members to take shelter with their relatives or neighbors.
While waiting for the water to recede from their homes, the communities repeatedly face the consequences of floods that occur almost every year.
From field observations, it appears that a good part of drainage canals is blocked by urban waste, so intervention is required for their continuous cleaning and maintenance.
The Shen Premte bridge that connects Sukthi with Katundii Ri is under water and is impassable for vehicles and pedestrians.
Meanwhile, the rains have started again today.
