ERE starts inspecting CEZ balances

“Since we have declared a given fee with the company, and with the revenues that it currently have we believe that the company should be functional. We must monitor if there have been financial difficulties and what expenses have brought them”, declared the ERE Legal Director, Eduard Elezi.

He added that after the inspection, the Board of Commissioners will take the final decision regarding the license of the company.

“After receiving the final information, the technical directories will propose the Board of Commissioners a decision about the case in question”, Elezi declared.

In the public declaration, the ERE answered to the opposition’s accusations, which said that CEZ has transferred millions abroad.

“ERE cannot follow or supervise the money transactions of a licensed company. ERE’s job is to monitor the realization of the expenses, including the operative expenses and those for investments, and compare them with those predicted in the fee”, Elezi declared.

Te energy system in the country is facing a deep financial crisis that has involved the private company for the distribution of energy, CEZ, and the public Albanian Power Corporation, in a situation that obliged the government to intervene for providing power supply to the country.
