ERE: CEZ is poorly managed

The Energy Regulation Entity declared in the annual report for 2011 that
CEZ has not improved the energy indicators, due to bad management.

The ERE Chairman, Sokol Ramadani, published the losses in energy in an interview for Top Channel.

“Losses reach 37% of the production and the encashment reach 70%”, Ramadani declared.

Due to the fall of energy indicators, which measure how much of the produced energy is being encased, the energy efficiency has fallen with 49.63% or 4.1%, compared to 2010.

“Their management has changed and I hope that we will see improvements. The indicators don’t give better data, but since the managing structure has changed, I believe that there will be results”, Ramadani declared.

The Socialist Party thinks that the energy market is in a deep crisis, due to the bad management and lack of transparency in the government’s relation with CEZ.

“You have the obligation to tell the Albanians what is happening between you and CEZ. The energy price has increased with 65%. Can you explain that to the people? You must tell us if Albania is threatened by the lack of energy”, declared the Socialist MP, Eduard Shalsi.

The opposition asked a special hearing session with the CEZ Company, for getting updates about the situation of the company, after the letter that its leaders sent to the heads of state, in which they announced a financial crisis.
