The European Parliament is discussing an amendment for Albania, brought
by right-centered MEP, Eduard Kukan, who calls for justice for the
January 21st victims.

Besides punishing those responsible for the murders of January 21st, 2011, other main amendments are related to the fight against corruption and vetting of judges and prosecutors.

Together with the amendment for holding free and fair elections on June 18th, a group of MEPs have also requested that Albanian authorities should include in voting two million Albanians who live abroad.

While the Greek MEPs kept protesting about the maritime border, the churches of the Greek minority, the Bulgarian MEPs also request that residents in Prespa e Vogel, Golloboarda and Gore should have their minority status back.

The resolution will be voted today, while left and right centered MEPs are compromising the final report, so that Albanian politicians will not abuse with the European Parliament messages for political gain.
