Civil society environmentalists and activists who oppose the waste
import law, say next week they will block it from entering the
Parliament.
Three years after the protests held in Tirana’s main boulevard against the government’s proposition to take in and destroy Syria’s chemical weapons in our territory, dozens of them gathered to discuss another cause.
“God save us if the law passes in November. There will be a battle from our civilians. The future of wastes is mission impossible”, activists and environmentalists say.
The waste law was returned by President Nishani and will be discussed next week.
