Energy Operator forced to spend 6.1 mln Euro to cover network loses

Energy Distribution Operator bought 131.7 thousand MW of electric energy to cover the prevised loses for September. According to the official press release, four companies won the tender to provide this energy quantity.

According to OSHEE, the average buying price will be 46.2 Euro/MW, with the total amount costing 6.1 million Euros. In the current legal framework, the Distribution Operator needs to secure the energy to cover loses in the private market, while KESH, Electro energetic Corporation is obliged to provide only the quantity consumed by Albanian families and business units.
