Energy Minister: “Sector is growing. Ready plan for renewable energy”

The Minister of Energy, Damian Gjiknuri, declared that the Energy Sector
is facing a positive situation, turning it into the ideal moment for
investment.
Gjiknuri made this declaration during a special meeting with Norwegian government representatives who showed interest on these investments.
“This is a good moment, since the sector is on the rise. We are on a good track. The clients are paying for energy. We are connecting Albania with the other countries and by 2020 it should be concluded. Our goal is to connect with Macedonia after Kosovo”, Gjiknuri declared.
The Minister added that there is a national plan for the renewable energy, with which they foresee other energy sources. The Minister said that the purpose of the Albanian government is to have an environment where they can invest for energy and for a liquid functional market.
