The Energy Distribution Operator condemned the attack against their employees.
“Our technicians, Misir Kumria and Shkelqim Baftaj, have been hit with solid objects and were sent to the Military Hospital of Tirana. They were cutting illegal connections based on a list approved by the Regional Directory in Tirana”, the declaration says.
The Operator says that they will not be intimidated by verbal and physical violence for continuing their job.
“Those who steal energy will have no support from this company, not through bribes and not through threats, as they have done by June 2013. The company appeals the opposition to stop the public lies and cooperate in supporting the rule of law, rather than inspiring acts of violence and making people refuse to pay for energy”, the reaction says.
