A high number of emigrants come from Greece to vote on the June 23rd
elections. Most of them have traveled free from the buses that are paid
by the political forces.
In Kakavija there is an increasing flux of emigrants returning from Greece. 30.000 persons are expected to enter from this point with travel tickets covered by the political parties.
There has been no queues in both sides of the border, since there have been six tolls in the entrance and three in the exit gates.
No signal in Kakavija border electronic system
While thousands of emigrants are returning to vote in Albania on buses paid by political parties, the Kakavija border checkpoints was blocked, leaving many people under the hot weather.
According to the media, the work in Kakavija was blocked after the registration and verification signal was interrupted.
It is not clear how this technical problem happened right on this time. Dozens of emigrants are returning from Greece, mainly with ticketspaid by the Socialist Party. They will vote in the elections of this Sunday, and their votes are considered to be important for the results of some districts.
