The distribution of the health card started online from February 15th. Citizens may receive it by simply showing an ID.
After applying, the citizens may print the card from the E-Albania portal, without showing up in any office.
PM Rama visited the Health Center no.9 of Tirana where he watched the progress closely.
“To remove the horrible burden between doctors and patients, we need a radical reformation of the service and pass to the electronic health service, electronic receipts. However, the online health card makes it easier and it is another step. It avoid the long queues and works with transparence”, Rama said.
