Electoral Reform: “SP rejects experts for ‘open lists'”

Electoral experts want a new code and have even brought the new
propositions. Oerd Bylykbashi and Taulant Balla, co-members of the
Electoral Commission, are divided with their opinions on these
propositions.
The majority is in favor, except for the “open voters lists”, while the opposition wants more time to review them.
Kristaq Kume, electoral expert, said that their propositions were welcomed, and Oerd Bylykbashi from the DP said they would give them an answer in order to find a credible, practical solution.
“These non-government organizations propose the Parliament to depoliticize the electoral administration. We support the proposition coming from the Socialist Party for the Albanians’ right of all Albanians to vote”, said Taulant Balla, co-chairman of the Special Commission for the Electoral Reform.
