Election 2011 commissioners sentenced in Lezhe

The Court of Lezhe, after five years of trials and 25 sessions, has
finally given a verdict against a group of commissioner in the Dajc
village, who were accused of manipulating the local elections in 2011.

The Court says that the Chairman, the vice chairman and the secretary of the voting center 0697 in Dajc, Lezhe, are sentenced with 15 months of prison, with no right to work for any public administration institution.

Some commissioners in the Center 0700, Koterr village, were sentenced to from six months to one year in prison and 100.000 ALL fines.

The commissioners were accused of power abuse and falsification after allowing ballots for people who resulted to be abroad.

After the elections of 2011, the former Socialist candidate filed a lawsuit for manipulations and presented evidence which the Court found credible after five years.
