Zonal Election Commission 12 is counting the ballot papers for the Mayor of Elbasan.
The counting process will be interrupted shortly, due to the fatiguing work done by the vote counting groups.
Only 2 of the 6 vote counting tables are currently working. 28 ballot boxes have been counted up to now, resulting with 7787 votes in total, 5179 favoring the Socialist candidate, Qazim Sejdini, and the remaining votes go to the opponent Durim Hushi.
Meanwhile, the Cerrik commune has counted 7 of 17 ballot boxes, with Servet Dusha, the Democratic Party candidate on the lead.
The town of Librazh, Elbasan district, is continuing the vote counting process for the communes, leaving the municipality votes to be counted at the end. The candidate Dritan Vici has won over Kastriot Zere.
