Drivers of 8+1 vans in Elbasan protested today against illegal
competition, which they say is bringing their businesses to an end.
They accuse the state police and the municipality of not doing their job to not allow taxi vans from other districts to work in Elbasan, same as they are not allowed elsewhere.
The protest was organized by the taxi drivers of the Elbasan-Rrogozhina-Durres line, who say that they will continue protests until this problem will be solved.
Another protest has been organized in Berat, due to a decision of the municipal council to change their station, a decision that affects only 8+1 vans.
