The Municipal Council of Elbasan refused to pass the Budget 2012. The
meeting was held with harsh debates between the right and left wing
councilors.
The right wing councilors who hold the majority, demanded a detailed annual analyses of the last year’s budget, for comparing it with the new one that is expected to be approved.
The head of the Municipality, Qazim Sejdini, declared that the postponement of the budget is a political act, because the analyses of both years have been presented.
But the head of the Municipal Council, Blendi Himci, declared that the left wing councilors cannot impose the majority by asking more time for discussion.
The left wing councilors expressed their indignation toward this blocking action, saying that it is not normal for the Elbasan Municipality to work with 112 of the budget.
