Elbasan, banners “war†continues

The electoral campaign incidents have not spared the city of Elbasan, 54 km from Tirana.
This Tuesday, Democratic Party banners were burned in the “Partizani”
neighborhood.
According to the Democratic Party leader in Elbasan, Luçiano Doçi, the flags have been burned by militants or exponents of the Socialist Party.
“This is an extraordinary event, because the Socialist Party has used a psychological terror by burning banners and making threats. This is a strategy that aims to ruin the image of these elections. They used it in 2009 elections and are still using it even today”, Boçi declared.
The Socialist Party has immediately reacted, saying that their supporters have nothing to do with the burned flags.
