The Interior Ministry of Northern Macedonia announced that it had prevented a terrorist attack with planned assassinations and attacks against a public building to create a sense of insecurity and fear among the public.
Eight members of the terrorist organization were arrested in a police operation in several locations, such as Kumanovo and Skopje.
Five of the arrests were from Kumanovo and three from Skopje. They were reportedly led by 32-year-old A.B. along the ideology of the terrorist organization ISIS, and one of the members of the group was already a member of ISIS in Syria. Police say all 11 members of the group are now behind bars after three other people, including the leader of the terrorist group, were arrested in August. They had weapons, ammunition, military equipment and homemade bombs.
