Egypt recognizes Kosovo

The government of Egypt has recognized Kosovo as a sovereign and independent state, as announced by the Kosovo Foreign Ministry.
The official decision for recognizing Kosovo has been communicated by the Foreign Ministry, Enver Hoxhaj, after receiving it from the Egyptian homologue, Mohammed Kamel.
The news was published on the Egyptian Foreign Ministry website, quoting:
“The Arab Republic of Egypt wants to establish good relations with the Republic of Kosovo in all areas, and it confirms its commitment for continuing and the reinforcement of good relations, which will connect them even more with the region”.
The Kosovo Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj and the other authorities have held several activities in Egypt, and as result both countries have consolidated their relations for more than two years.
