The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, defended the higher education law
that passed this Tuesday at a special parliamentary session, declaring
that the law guarantees fair competition and doesn’t exclude anyone.
“This is a good product. It is sad that they are opposing it in the name of the poor, and are speculating in the worst possible way. The law guarantees fair competition so that every young man who deserves to be schooled, should not be hampered by poverty in families, because this government will support every poor family with children who study hard”, Rama declared.
The law gives financial support not only to this category, but also to excellent students and those who select programs that are considered national priority.
