School text authors have confirmed that the Altertext has failed,
because it functioned based on personal interests and political
connections during these years, not based on quality, making experiments
with the students.
Education Minister Lindita Nikolla confirmed that schools have chosen the worst text for several times.
“The selection process has not been always for the quality and professional thought. Local education leaders have often been appointed by political leaders at the Ministry of Education”, Nikolla declared.
“Our texts were never experimented. We need verifications about the text that has had more points, and that should be the one used in schools”, declared Shezai Rrokaj, text writer.
“The curricula needs improvement. It cannot be done by two people, but by a group of authors who can join and work together with the program of all years. We often feel that the text of one year is almost the same with that of the previous year, and that is not normal”, declared Et’hem Ruka, text author.
“If we cannot make good texts, we should get the best ones and make a best text, written in perfect Albanian”, declared Gjovalin Shkurtaj.
“We shouldn’t be concerned about what the publishing houses will do, who often have a short life. We have had many occasions. We would be concerned about the text level, and not if the publishing houses will have work to do”, Paskal Milo declared.
